Sample Daywise Itinerary
DAY 01
- ROME / ARRIVAL
Arrival at Rome airport, meet our Assistant and transfer to the city centre for a city tour (with local guide) passing through Colosseum, Roman Forum, Venice Square, Maximo Circus, etc. Dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight in Rome
DAY 02
- ROME
Early breakfast and proceed on a full-day tour (with local guide) of St. Peter's Square, Vatican city, Vatican Museum and the Sistine chapel (entrance included). Lunch in a local/Indian restaurant. In the afternoon continuation of our city tour of Scala Santa, the Holy Stairs which Christ traversed during his trial in Jerusalem, and the Basilica of St. John known as Mother Church. Dinner in a local/Indian restaurant and overnight in Rome.
DAY 03
- ROME / ASSISI (180 Km)
Breakfast and transfer to St. Peter's Square to participate in the Papal Audience (pending on Papal schedule). In the afternoon proceed to Assisi. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
DAY 04
- ASSISI / PADUA (365 Km)
Breakfast. Half-day city tour to visit the Basilica of Santa Maria (where the "Portiuncola" is located) and the Basilicas of St. Clare and St. Francis (including the Tomb of the Saint). Lunch at the hotel. In the afternoon transfer to Padua. Dinner in a local/Indian restaurant. Overnight in Padua.
DAY 05
- PADUA / VENICE / PADUA (40+40 Km)
Breakfast. Brief visit (with a local guide) of the Basilica of St. Anthony where the rests of the Saint are kept. Lunch in a local/Indian restaurant. Transfer to Venice where we have a sightseeing tour (with local guide) including St. Mark's Square and its Basilica, lavish Doges' Palace (from outside) and the Bridge of Sighs. Return to Padua for dinner in a local/Indian restaurant and overnight in hotel.
DAY 06
- PADUA / LUCERNE AREA (472 Km)
Breakfast and depart towards Luzern. Lunch in a local restaurant on the road. Arrival and time at leisure in the city centre. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 07
- LUCERNE AREA / MT. TITLIS / INTERLAKEN / LUCERNE AREA (20+90+50 Km)
After breakfast, meet with our local guide who who will stay with us for the whole day and visit Mt. Titlis with Ice Flyer. At 10,000 feet, Mount Titlis is Central Switzerland's loftiest peak with a spectacular aerial cable car that delivers awesome 360-degree panoramic views of the snow-covered valleys, glaciers, lakes, forests, and mountains. Lunch at Mt. Titlis in the Indian Restaurant. Return to Interlaken for a brief panoramic tour. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
DAY 08
- LUCERNE AREA / PARIS (668 Km)
Breakfast and depart towards Paris. Lunch in a local restaurant on the road. On arrival a guided visit of the Eiffel Tower (entrance included to the second floor) and a Seine river cruise (time permitting). Dinner in a local restaurant. Overnight in hotel.
DAY 09
- PARIS / LOURDES (TGV Train)
Breakfast. We have a half-day panoramic city tour (with local guide) to visit Louvre Museum passing through Opera Square, Concorde Square, Champs - Elysees, Arch of Triumph, Trocadero Square, Montmartre, St. Etienne Du Mont, St. Sulpice, Rue du Bac, Opera Square, Concorde Square, etc. (external visits). Lunch in a local/Indian restaurant. Transfer with an Assistant to the railway station to take our high speed train to Paris . Arrival and transfer to the local/Indian restaurant for dinner. Accommodation in hotel. In the evening, we can take part in the Candlelight Procession.
DAY 10
- LOURDES
Breakfast. Morning dedicated to the visit (with local guide) of the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes: the Basilica, the Crypt, the Apparition Grotto, the healing baths, the Esplanade, the family home of Bernadette Soubirous "the Boly Mill", where at the ground floor it is possible to see the room where Bernadette was born. Lunch in a local/Indian restaurant. Afternoon at leisure in the Sanctuary for religious activities. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
DAY 11
- LOURDES / AZPEITIA / BURGOS AREA (235+190 Km)
Breakfast and check-out. Depart towards Azpeitia in Spain, the birth place of Ignatius of Loyola. His birth home is now preserved as a part of large Jesuit compound, the Sanctuary of Loyola, a major attraction of tourist and pilgrims alike. Lunch in a local restaurant. Continuation towards Burgos area. Arrival, dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 12
- BURGOS AREA / FATIMA (630 Km)
Breakfast. Depart for Fatima where in 1917, Our Lady appeared 6 times to three children (Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco). Lunch in a local restaurant on the road. Arrival, accommodation and dinner at the hotel. In the evening, we can participate in the Candlelight Procession.
DAY 13
- FATIMA
Breakfast and Visit (with a local guide) of the Sanctuary. Afternoon at leisure for religious activities within the Sanctuary. Lunch and dinner at the hotel. In the evening, we can participate in the Candlelight Procession again
DAY 14
- FATIMA / LISBON (130 Kms) / RETURN
Early Breakfast and transfer to Lisbon where we have a brief panoramic city tour (with local guide) passing through Barrio de Alfama, Belem Tower and Jeronimos Monastery. Then transfer to the airport for taking our flight back to India.
